Privacy Policy
In short. You play without an account of ours, and the game never asks for your name, email, photos, contacts or location. Your progress stays on your device and, if you use them, in your own iCloud or Google Play Games account. We use a few Google services to show ads you choose to watch (and, now and then, a short ad after a won level), to count how the game is played and to fix crashes. Premium is bought through your app store, and we never see your payment details. We do not sell your personal data.

This policy covers the Hold On, Chromi! game and this website.
2. What the game handles, and why
Your game progress
Levels, stars, coins, crystals, Chromi's level, skills and outfits, quests, the runs of the day, your settings and whether you own Premium are stored on your device. We do not receive them.
Your progress in the cloud
So that a new phone can carry on where the old one stopped, the game keeps a copy of your progress in your own cloud: on iPhone and iPad in Apple's iCloud, under your Apple Account, while iCloud is on for the game; on Android in Google Play Games' saved games, under your Google account, while you are signed in to Play Games. Apple or Google store that copy under their own terms, and we cannot read it. Start over in the game's settings replaces it with a fresh game.
Leaderboards and trophies
When your device is signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the game sends them your farthest Endless runs (this week and of all time), the stars you have collected, your best score in the run of the day and the trophies you earn. Other players see your scores under your profile name there. Nothing else is sent for them, and you can hide your scores or sign out in the settings of Game Center or Google Play Games.
Premium
Premium is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card details. The store tells the game that Premium was bought, and lets the game restore it on your devices. Legal basis: performing our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Ads
Players without Premium can watch a rewarded video when they choose to: to keep going after a fall, to double the coins of a won level or to play a bonus level. Now and then, after a won level, a short ad plays; never in your first day and never after a Warden. No ad ever plays in the middle of a level, and Premium turns every ad off.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure an ad, Google processes your IP address, device and app information and how you interact with the ad, and on Android your device's advertising ID. On iPhone and iPad the game never asks to track you, so Apple's advertising identifier is not available to it.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent first, with Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings, under Premium, Privacy. Without consent, the ads are not personalised.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.
Legal basis: your consent for personalised ads (Art. 6(1)(a)); our legitimate interest in funding a free game for ads that are not personalised (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How the game is played, and crashes
We use Google Firebase: Analytics, to see which levels are too hard or too easy and which features are used; Crashlytics, to see why the game crashed; and Remote Config, which lets us adjust numbers such as rewards and prices without an update. Firebase receives events such as "level started", "level won" or "ad watched", the purchase of Premium with its price and currency, an app instance ID created for this install, the device model, operating system, app version, language and an approximate country, and crash reports describing what the game was doing. We do not use this to identify you. Where the GDPR applies, the game tells Firebase not to use any of this for advertising. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and fair (Art. 6(1)(f)).
What the game does not do
No sign-in of ours, no chat, no messages between players, no access to your photos, camera, microphone, contacts or location. The game plays offline; the services above are used when a connection is there.
This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and the usual request data to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Who else processes the data
- Apple and Google: the app stores and their payments, Game Center, Google Play Games, iCloud.
- Google AdMob: ads.
- Google Firebase: usage statistics, crash reports, remote settings.
- Cloudflare: hosting this website.
Some of them are outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on adequacy decisions (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data.
4. How long it is kept
Data on your device stays until you delete the game. The copy in your cloud stays until you start over or delete it in your Apple or Google settings. Usage statistics are kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Google keeps ad data for the periods set in its own policies.
5. Children
Hold On, Chromi! is made for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has shared personal data with us, write to us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and object to its processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To delete the data on your device, delete the game. For data held by the services above, write to support@ksatalsin.com and we will help you. Your purchase history with Apple or Google stays with them. Step by step instructions are on Delete your data.
You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), www.aepd.es, or to the authority in your country.
7. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and each service gets only what it needs. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Changes
If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the game when the change matters.
